Ina Benz has been appointed head of Technical Support and Service (TSS) at Jowat SE, effective November 1, 2020. She succeeds Armin Erb, who retired after more than 40 years with Jowat. The Technical Support and Service division at Jowat comprises the Application Technology, Claim Management, and Packaging Management departments, as well as Jowat’s in-house Technical Lab.

Benz began her career with Jowat in 2004 when she worked on her diploma thesis about the potential of monomer-reduced PUR hot-melt adhesives in applications. One year later, she took on responsibility for Claim Management; since 2012, she has successfully led Application Technology.

Erb previously led the TSS business division for 25 years and retired after a career with Jowat spanning over four decades. He joined Jowat in 1980 as a chemical engineer. His first project was to set up a manufacturing facility in Mexico, after which he assumed responsibility for production, application technology, and the lab at Jowat Corp. in the U.S. In 1994, he returned to Germany and was appointed head of the new Marketing Services Division, the predecessor of the TSS. He was responsible for the internal supervision of the construction work on Jowat’s House of Technology in Detmold, which was inaugurated in 2018.
