After a year of upheaval for 3M, the company reported results that were better than its expectations, according to Chairman and CEO Mike Roman.

The latest dividend represents an 8.5% increase over the prior quarterly dividend and marks the 55^th consecutive year in which the company has increased its dividend.

Despite achieving a record fiscal year adjusted EBITDA margin of 16.5%, the results were mixed for both the fourth quarter and all of 2023, but a positive outlook remains.

Investments in start-ups, acquisitions, and the opening of new plants led to the significant revenue growth for the company

Record setting second-quarter net sales were $1.79 billion, net income $145.5 million, and EBIT was $220.9 million.
