A new study reported that small businesses who aren't participating in social media are potentially missing out on business opportunities. Last week, we asked if you think social media is necessary for success.

 

More than half of the respondents said "No," while about 45% replied "Maybe."

 

One participant commented, "I think it depends on the products, as well as the target age group for these products."

 

Another said, "I operate a successful small business and don't actively use social media. It may be useful for some, but social media certainly isn't required for success in business."
