Arkema is launching a new integrated product range that combines the company’s technological expertise in the adhesives market, strengthened by the recent acquisition of Ashland performance adhesives, and acrylic value chain solutions. The offerings, marketed under the Bostik brand, include tapes, labels, and specialty films.
“Through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, we are building the strongest and most reliable offering, expertise and customer support to the fast-growing pressure sensitive adhesives market worldwide,” said Tim Pione, vice president advanced packaging and converting, adhesives at Arkema. “Committed to this industry, we will partner across the value chain to advance innovation, address global megatrends and explore ways to offer customers new, more sustainable solutions.”
The new, global offering provides pressure-sensitive adhesives solutions including hot melt, waterborne, UV, and specialty solution acrylics. It will leverage Arkema’s market knowledge of adhesives as well as the company’s pioneering approach to materials science within its integrated specialty monomers, resins, and additives businesses. The product range is strengthened by Arkema’s sustainability efforts, which include research and development in renewable products, its bio-acrylics value chain, recyclability solutions, and low-VOC technologies.
