PSTC brings manufacturers and suppliers together to ensure the quality of pressure sensitive adhesive tape in the global marketplace — but to truly pursue this mission, we must broaden our scope. From the machines that produce our products to the vehicles that deliver them, there are many contributors to the PSA tape supply chain without which our industry could not grow or even function.

PSTC is introducing Industry Partner Presentations at this year’s Fall Member Business Meeting to bring these important voices into the conversation. The theme of this year’s event, “Connect, Collaborate, Cultivate‎” reflects the importance of the role these partners play.

With the success of last year’s inaugural Industry Leader Panel, we will bring senior leaders from PSTC member companies together once again to discuss current trends and participate in open dialogue. But none of the challenges we face can be addressed by manufacturers and suppliers alone, from the economic impact of the pandemic — still being felt across the industry — to the urgent need for more sustainable solutions. Only by working together as an industry can we expect to understand and tackle these issues.

This kind of perspective — not just on PSA tape or a specific market, but the PSA tape industry as a whole — is why attending the PSTC Fall Member Business Meeting is a prerequisite for earning the highest and most prestigious level of Pressure Sensitive Tape Certificate. If you’re wondering what a potential career in the PSA tape industry could look like, PSTC’s Certificate Program lays out a path for acquiring the technical skills, market insights, and industry knowledge that are necessary for success. This path — from PSTC Industry Specialist to PSTC Industry Professional to PSTC Industry Master — also serves as a guide for companies looking to get the most out of PSTC’s education and training opportunities.

If your company is not already a member of PSTC, I encourage you join — and if you are, I encourage you to get involved. Events such as the Fall Member Business Meeting provide an unparalleled way to come together not just as an industry, but as a community. At the Fall Member Business Meeting we will induct one member of our community into the PSTC Hall of Fame and recognize those who are retiring from the industry. I hope to see you there Tuesday, November 7 – Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona, so PSTC can help celebrate the incredible work done not only by our manufacturer and supplier members but also by our industry partners.

The PSTC Fall Member Business Meeting is a unique opportunity to connect with PSTC members—but we’re also accepting abstracts for Tape Week 2024, which provides a larger forum for sharing your latest PSA tape innovations. Tape Week 2024 is an opportunity to showcase not only technical advancements, but also innovations in PSA tape applications and sustainability solutions. If you’re interested in presenting at Tape Week 2024, I encourage you to reach out to PSTC Executive Vice President Michelle Miller. Save the date to join us Monday, April 29 – Thursday, May 2 at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Florida!
