Afera, the European Adhesive Tape Association, announced the launch of its premier technical learning event of 2024, the Tape College.  The event will be held March 12-14 at Le Méridien, Munich, Germany. In its eleventh edition, the biennial event will be hosted and taught by 21 of the best and brightest in the field of adhesive tape. Unique to the European tape industry, Afera’s 11th Tape College will provide three days of learning about the fundamentals and current technical essentials of adhesive tape technology. It is also one of the most in-demand networking events for the global tape business, for new and veteran members alike.

Afera’s Tape College is a well-established technical learning event offering a back-to-school experience in which field experts lecture on the principles involved in the selection, manufacture, conversion, application, testing, sustainability, and E.U. regulation of tapes. A panel discussion follows each session. The Tape College provides ample opportunity for networking outside of the conference room. In addition to welcome cocktails and buffet lunches, a conference dinner is planned for March 13. Afera’s 2022 event welcomed attendees representing 44 companies from 10 European countries.

The working program will consist of four sub-themed clusters of in-depth lectures over three days including tapes deconstructed, tape production, tape use, and tape testing. Click here to see a full list of the 21 topics covered.

Afera created Tape College to give entrants to the world of tapes an opportunity to engage with experienced and well-established technical professionals in the industry. Anyone working in all departments of tapes, from engineering to sales, will benefit from receiving a solid overview of the current technologies of the tape business, from pre-adhesive compositions through testing, sustainability, and legislative issues.
