WACKER Appoints New VP of NCA POLYMERS

WACKER recently announced that Dave Bloom has been appointed vice president of the company's North and Central America (NCA) polymer business activities effective March 1, 2025. He succeeds Mathias Wiedemann, who took over as president of WACKER BIOSOLUTIONS on January 1, 2025.
Bloom has served in various leadership roles at WACKER and was the former senior director of WACKER’s Consumer and Industrial POLYMER business and marketing team in the NCA region. He has over 30 years of industry experience, including 17 years with WACKER. He will continue to drive the successful development of the company’s POLYMER business division in the NCA region.

WACKER POLYMERS offers a broad portfolio of polymeric binders and additives based on vinyl acetate. The dispersions, dispersible polymer powders, and solid resins are found in most modern construction applications and many others. Additionally, they form the basis for adhesives, ensure adhesion to facades of carpet backing, and bind pigments into paints.
WACKER leads the world market with its dispersions and dispersible polymer powders based on vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE)and is the only manufacturer that offers these products across the globe. WACKER operates five production sites for dispersions and dispersible polymer powders, one of which is based in Calvert City, Kentucky, to serve the world’s growth markets. In North America, WACKER’s also operates three technical competence centers and three WACKER Academies, the latter providing on site, industry-specific training for POLYMERS customers in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and in Dalton, Georgia.
