Tape manufacturer tesa announced that Matt Trute joined the organization on April 21, 2025, as head of Industrial Trade & Converting North American Markets (NAM).
Trute joins tesa after a 30-year career in B2B sales, marketing, research, engineering, and management. He brings this wealth of experience to his new role leading and driving growth at tesa’s NAM Trade & Converting Partners.
Trute started his career as a technical sales representative in the adhesive tape industry in Australia.During his extensive career, Trute successfully led teams across Australia, Asia, and North America. He achieved significant career milestones such as developing and commercializing high-growth portfolios and enabling sales teams to achieve triple-digit growth rates.
Trute is excited to help tesa grow to its full potential in North America. “I’ve admired the quality and professionalism at tesa for many years, so now is my chance to help others see what this brand can deliver for them,” he said. Trute also looks forward to developing his team and giving them the opportunity to take on new challenges. An Australian native, Trute and his family live in Alpharetta, Georgia.
He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Western Sydney University and an Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School.
