Adhesives Provide Cost-Savings Solutions for Printed Electronics

Creative Materials Inc. has launched a new line of economical, high-performance conductive inks and adhesives designed for membrane switches, bus bars, and electrical attachments. These materials optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain reliability and performance compared to standard materials. The company reports that custom chemistries are available to meet specific application or substrate requirements.
"With silver base prices up over 25% in the past three months, our clients are prioritizing cost-effective solutions for sustainable applications," said Matthew Ganslaw, executive vice president of sales at Creative Materials. "We’re committed to helping customers manage costs while continuing to deliver value."
A low-cost silver-filled epoxy, 127-21C is designed for structural and electrical bonding in high-reliability applications. It offers low-volume resistivity and long-term stability under thermal cycling and humidity, and it bonds to substrates like transparent conductive oxides, thin ceramics, and sputtered metals (e.g., gold). Its thixotropic consistency enables precise, slump-free dispensing in high-throughput environments.
A one-component, syringe-dispensable system, key features of 127-21C include the following:
- High tensile strength
- Low stress
- Long pot life
