Loctite MS 9650 from Henkel is a next-generation adhesive and sealant engineered to exceed automotive customers’ expectations for flexibility and sustainability in displays. Based on a silane-modified polymer, the adhesive cures through reaction with moisture, forming a soft elastic product that is strong enough for elastic bonding. It can bond a wide variety of substrates — including glass, metal, painted surfaces, and plastics — with good UV resistance. According to Henkel, the material shows creep behavior to the same level as a silicone-based adhesive, superior compared to other silane-modified polymer grades.

The company reports that by increasing temperature and humidity, curing time can be drastically reduced. This enables applications where one-component adhesives were previously considered unsuitable due to long processing times. Curing speed varies with factors such as moisture, temperature, and joint depth. The material can be boosted using Teroson MS 9371B to speed up production with dynamic mixing.
