3M has launched Ask 3M, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help customers identify and evaluate product solutions. Available at ask.3m.com, the tool provides self-service access to 3M's technical expertise, allowing users to compare products, troubleshoot applications, and find recommended materials more quickly.
Initially focused on industrial adhesives and tapes, Ask 3M draws on verified 3M product documentation and application knowledge rather than information from the open internet. Users can ask questions in plain language, such as which adhesive is best for a specific substrate combination, how products compare, or how to use a particular 3M adhesive system.
The platform also links users to authorized distributors and provides direct access to supporting technical documents. According to 3M, Ask 3M is intended to streamline product selection and application support, giving customers faster access to the information they need to solve bonding challenges and make informed decisions.
