BOSTIK: Flooring Adhesive
XL Brands, a Bostik company, has expanded its flooring adhesive portfolio with InnoStix PSA Pressure Sensitive Adhesive, a bio-based product formulated to deliver aggressive tack, strong bonds, and reliable performance in demanding installation environments.
The PSA is a USDA BioPreferred® Certified adhesive with 32% biobased content, designed for the installation of carpet tile and a wide range of vinyl flooring materials. The non-staining, solvent-free formula allows carpet tiles to be released and re-bonded for easy replacement without significant loss of adhesion, while supporting low-VOC indoor air quality standards.
In addition to strong bonding performance, InnoStix PSA helps reduce environmental impact, with the potential to lower CO₂ emissions by up to 34% compared with standard pressure-sensitive adhesives. The adhesive may also contribute toward LEED® v4 EQ credits on applicable projects.
The adhesive is engineered to perform in demanding jobsite conditions, offering excellent resistance to moisture vapor and alkali and compatibility with concrete substrates up to 95% relative humidity and pH levels up to 10.0.
InnoStix PSA is suitable for use with a variety of flooring materials, including:
- Vinyl-backed modular carpet tile
- Non-vinyl-backed modular carpet tile
- Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
- Vinyl sheet flooring
- Vinyl composition tile (VCT)
- Fiberglass-reinforced sheet vinyl
The adhesive also features MicroSept® Advanced Antimicrobial Protection, helping resist bacterial and fungal growth throughout the life of the installation. Its low-odor, low-VOC formulation supports healthier indoor environments during installation and beyond.
