Fedrigoni Announces Leadership Change

Fedrigoni S.p.A. announced that Marco Nespolo is stepping down from his role as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors, effective October 6, to pursue other opportunities. The company reports that Nespolo will maintain his equity investment in the group and will continue to support the shareholders and the management team as a board member.
During his eight years as CEO, Nespolo played a key role in engineering and leading the transformation of the group, strengthening its market position and driving its growth, both organically and through several acquisitions.
Rolf Stangl has been named executive chairman. Stangl’s appointment will be effective on October 6. Fedrigoni reports that this appointment is part of the board’s ongoing commitment to continue to evolve the group’s management and governance structures in line with the Fedrigoni Group and OpCos strategy. Stangl as executive chairman, together with the group CFO and OpCos CEOs will work together to continue and accelerate the profitable growth of the group.
Stangl brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the global packaging industry, as well as extensive executive and board experience across both private equity-backed and publicly listed companies. He served as chief executive officer of Swiss-listed packaging company SIG Group AG from 2008 to 2020. Most recently, he served as a senior advisor to Apollo Global Management and is non-executive chairman of NASDAQ-listed Reynolds Consumer Products and a non-executive board member of The Family Office Co.
