Shurtape Technologies Acquires Mavalus Brand
Shurtape Technologies LLC, manufacturer and marketer of adhesive tape and consumer home and office products, announced the acquisition of Mavalus®, a specialty adhesive tape brand, and related business assets from DSS Distributing LLC, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1999, Mavalus is a family-owned adhesive brand known for its assortment of American-made, multipurpose tapes. Originally developed to solve a common classroom challenge, Mavalus offered educators a reliable way to securely hang decorations, posters and instructional materials on difficult surfaces while still removing cleanly. What began as a solution for educators has grown into a trusted brand serving customers across a wide range of markets with specialty adhesive products designed to solve everyday challenges.
