GARLOCK SWEEPS 12TH ANNUAL `BEST OF WEB' AWARDS
The Rochester Business Journal recently
honored Garlock Sealing Technologies with the Overall-Gold award in its 2009
“Best of the Web” competition. The producer of industrial fluid sealing devices
also won an award for the best Web site in the manufacturing category.
A panel of judges selected the Garlock site, which was one of three finalists in its category, from hundreds of nominations “based on the content of the site, usefulness, navigation, use of technology, design quality, e-commerce and the likelihood of repeat visits.”
Awards also were presented to the winners of seven other categories, including business and professional services, cultural non-profit, education, government/community, health care, real estate and construction, and retail/hospitality.
The Rochester Business Journal began the competition in 1996 to “spotlight the leading efforts among area businesses in what was then an emerging phenomenon, the World Wide Web.” This year’s competition was sponsored by MSM Interactive Inc. and Time Warner Cable.
