Stik-II Products now offers new SurGlaze glazing tapes for high performance in sealing glass in wood, vinyl and aluminum window framing systems. The new line of tapes is available with closed cell polyethylene foam coated on both sides with acrylic adhesive and differential coated with acrylic adhesive on one side and rubber adhesive on the other side. The adhesive is protected by a polyethylene film liner. High adhesive to low surface energy substrates, superior long-term aging properties and excellent UV and temperature resistance are key features of these tapes. "The name SurGlaze accurately describes the benefits of this new product line," explains Michael Barrett, Stik-II Products' National Sales Manager. "The combination of the `quick stick' adhesive and the `easy release' liner makes these tapes very easy to use and improves operating efficiency for window fabricators," notes Barrett. SurGlaze glazing tapes are available in white, black or gray foam in 1/8", 3/32", 1/16" and 1/32" gauges. Products meet the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) specification #810.1-92 for cellular glazing tapes, type I.
