Dow Automotive has announced the appointment of Jane Palmieri as vice president, Plastics and Fluids. Palmieri will direct all plastics and fluids businesses for Dow Automotive on a global basis. This includes the company's engineering thermoplastics, polypropylene/thermoplastic olefins, polyurethane, PVA, films, brake fluids, coolants, windscreen solvents, compressor lubes and other application marketing development in key business areas. She came to the company from General Motors in 1995 and most recently served as business development manager for new material technology and portfolio management. Palmieri holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
