CVC SPECIALTY CHEMICALS NAMES GASPARIK PLANT MANAGER

Mikulas Gasparik has accepted the position of plant manager for CVC Specialty Chemicals Inc., Moorestown, NJ. In this role, Gasparik will lead the company's manufacturing operation of specialty epoxy raw materials in its Maple Shade, NJ, facility. Prior to joining CVC, Gasparik served as manufacturing manager of Lubrizol/Noveon's Dock Resins Division. He also worked as plant manager at Reichhold's Elizabeth, NJ, and two Newark, NJ, locations. CVC Specialty Chemcials Inc. is a leading producer of specialty epoxy resins, elastomer-modified epoxy resins, epoxy functional monomers and modifiers, catalysts, and accelerators.

HENKEL HONORED FOR LEAD-FREE SOLDER PASTE

Henkel has announced that its Multicore® LF318 lead-free solder paste received the prestigious Electronics Manufacturing Asia Innovation award in the category of solder materials at the recent Nepcon China exhibition in Shanghai. Developed to appeal to multinational manufacturers who wish to qualify a single solder paste that offers reliable performance regardless of climactic condition, Multicore LF318 is a lead-free, halide-free, pin-testable paste formulation that delivers a broad process window for both printing and reflow. The product has demonstrated excellent solderability on a range of surface finishes, including Ni/Au, immersion Sn, immersion Ag and OSP copper. After reflow, only soft, non-stick, colorless residues remain, easing visual inspection and permitting reliable in-circuit testing without clogging test probes, even after hundreds of tests following double reflow. RPM HIRES TWO INTERNAL AUDITORS

RPM International Inc., Medina, OH, has announced the additions of Duane A. Morris and Jason C. Pinizzotto as internal auditors. Morris and Pinizzotto will be responsible for conducting financial, operational and compliance audits of the company's business units. Morris joins RPM as a senior internal auditor, and has more than 16 years of experience in auditing and financial accounting. His corporate experience includes positions with Polytech Inc., Caliber Technology and Federal Express. Most recently, Morris was with Adelphia Communications, where he served as finance manager for two years. Pinizzotto is a finance and audit professional with strong business process expertise. He joins RPM as staff internal auditor. Pinizzotto was previously employed by Ernst & Young LLP, where he provided audit services, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal control work and annual audits for various clients.

VELSICOL APPOINTS BULLOCK VICE PRESIDENT OF CHEMICAL SPECIALTIES

Walter L. Bullock has joined Velsicol Chemical Corp., Rosemont, IL, as vice president of Chemical Specialties. Bullock has an extensive background in sales and leadership in the chemical industry, with a career that spans more than 30 years at FMC, Cytec, and Bayer. His previous experience includes serving as vice president and general manager of the Bayer Corp.'s paper colorants and chemicals business, where he was responsible for tis large paper chemicals business in North America. He also served as director of global marketing and managing director of paper chemicals in Europe for Cytec Industries, where he directed the marketing strategy and development of the North American and European paper chemicals business unit.
