BASF ANNOUNCES FULL ENGELHARD INTEGRATION
Following the acquisition of Engelhard Corp. in June, BASF has announced the full integration of Engelhard into its global operations. BASF expects the integration to result in annual synergies of $200 million by 2010, almost half of which will be achieved by 2007, and more than 80% by 2008. SEKISUI VOLTEK RENAMES RECENTLY ACQUIRED YOUNGBO AMERICA
Sekisui Voltek has renamed the recently acquired Youngbo America, Inc. to Sekisui Voltek California, Inc. Sekisui Voltek LLC acquired the California corporation in July. The name change is intended to incorporate the Youngbo America brand into the globally recognized Sekisui brand and to capitalize on the strong North American brand name of Voltek products. In addition, the name change strengthens Sekisui Voltek's presence on the West Coast.
