APS AND CAT ANNOUNCE FORMATION OF JOINT VENTURE
Adhesive Packaging Specialties Inc. (APS) of Peabody, MA, and Cartridge Application Technologies (CAT) of Mentor, OH, have signed a three-year agreement. The venture between the two companies was formed in response to increasing industry demand for the Dual Cartridge, a system that provides advanced delivery of two-component reactive materials.
“Over the years, we have seen the increase in demand for this unique system,” said Stephen Buchanan, president of APS. “Our agreement with Cartridge Application Technologies will allow us to supply our packaging expertise, provide production support and quality initiatives to enhance the filling technologies of the Dual Cartridge System.”
With CAT’s sales force, APS will be able to service major industrial accounts for the Dual Cartridge, and CAT will utilize APS for continuing manufacturing support. A cooperative committee has been set up to explore the possibility of a joint manufacturing facility in the western U.S. to support customer logistics.
