Wacker Chemie AG, Munich, Germany, and its North American headquarters, Wacker Chemical Corp., Adrian, MI, have released details about the construction of a new 67,000 sq. ft. WACKER POLYMERS AMERICA Headquarters facility at a groundbreaking ceremony held in the Lehigh Valley area of Allentown, PA. The new facility is being developed to bring the company’s North America-based WACKER POLYMERS operations together under one roof. The decision to construct the new facility and remain in the Allentown area follows an acquisition announced earlier this year by Wacker Chemie AG of Air Products Polymers (APP) and Wacker Polymer Systems (WPS), its two former joint ventures with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

“The decision to locate the WACKER POLYMERS AMERICA headquarters in the Lehigh Valley was aided through a joint collaboration between state and local governments, business, and industry,” said Mr. Arno von der Eltz, WACKER POLYMERS global president. “We are extremely pleased to become a member of the Lehigh Valley Allentown community, and ideally to be able to continue the strong business and economic relationships already established here through our former joint venture with Air Products and Chemicals.”
