Huber Engineered Materials, a division of J.M. Huber Corp., recently announced its participation in Pinfa-NA (Phosphorus, Inorganic and Nitrogen Flame Retardants Association-North America). The association was formed by leaders in the flame retardant industry that focus on non-halogen solutions and materials. It is a sister organization of Pinfa, a sector group of Cefic (The European Chemical Industry Council).

“Huber is looking forward to our relationship with Pinfa-NA and promoting together in North America and worldwide the use of non-halogen flame retardants and smoke suppressants,” said Don Mills, Sales director, Industrial Minerals, Huber. “We have for over a quarter century been a supplier of non-halogenated products believing them to be the standard for responsible industry solutions. As we evolve globally seeking “greener” solutions for sustainability and improving safety for people and the environment, there’s no question these products will be key to the future of the fire retardant additive industry.”
