Celanese Corp. recently announced that Jimmy (Ji Seon) Yu has joined the company as managing director for Celanese Korea Ltd. In this role, he will oversee the company’s commercial, government affairs, industry and administrative activities in Korea. He will be based in Seoul, South Korea.

“With a solid leadership team in Korea, Celanese will be able to quickly and appropriately respond to industry conditions and customer requirements,” said Mark Oberle, senior vice president of Celanese Asia. “Additionally, Mr. Yu will provide strong support for our employee development activities in country and allow us to get much closer to our customers in key areas and build a solid growth platform for Celanese in Korea.
