The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) recently announced that its Spring Convention and Expo, which took place April 20-22 in Nashville, Tenn., drew 592 total attendees, a record for both the Spring and Fall convention, not including the year ASC hosted the World Adhesive Conference. Total attendance includes full paid attendees, partial or one-day attendees, Expo participants, speakers and media.

“Based on the preliminary results of the post-convention survey, attendees were drawn to this year’s event for the Expo, strong technical content, and numerous networking-oriented events,” said Matthew E. Croson, president. “It’s clear our strategy of expanding the Expo, adding strong technical content, and including as many networking opportunities as possible is paying dividends as the industry comes together to stay aware of innovation, keep up with formulation strategies and meet other industry professionals.”

Convention programming included bio-based adhesive formulation, raw materials, building and construction, and regulatory affairs tracks. Some 45 sessions were held over the two-day period. In addition, the Expo included 85 exhibits, reportedly the largest number of exhibits the council has ever had for a Spring or Fall Convention.
