Chromaflo Technologies recently announced two new positions to support the thermoset composites market, and one new finance appointment at its Ashtabula, Ohio, facility.

Paul Rettinger has accepted the position of technology manager, Thermosets Americas. In his new role, Rettinger will be responsible for exploring and developing new generation product technologies for Chromaflo’s thermoset plastic business. Rettinger has worked at Chromaflo since January 1994. He reportedly led development of key proprietary technologies currently sold in the coatings and thermoset markets. He has held various positions throughout the years, including research scientist and QAS manager.

Cheryl Ludwig has been appointed thermoset product development scientist. She will assist Rettinger in leading the organization in the development and exploration of new technologies. Ludwig has worked at Chromaflo since June 2004; she previously, served as thermoset product development specialist.

In addition, Doug Hummer hasaccepted the position of tax and compliance manager at the Ashtabula, Ohio, site, reporting to Mark Astorino, chief financial officer. This position is responsible for the company’s tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. Hummer is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. He most recently served as business consultant for various organizations across the U.S.

Hummer reportedly has a strong tax background at various multi-national companies, as well as a robust educational background and certification.
