RPM International Inc. recently announced that John J. McLaughlin will take on a new role within the company as a senior vice president. He previously led RPM’s DAP Group as president and CEO for 22 years. Terry Horan, DAP executive vice president, sales and marketing, will replace McLaughlin as president and CEO. These promotions will be effective December 15.

In his new role, McLaughlin will be responsible for achieving manufacturing, supply chain, logistical and operational efficiencies at RPM’s more than 50 operating companies. McLaughlin joined DAP in 1986, and held various sales and management positions until being named president and CEO in 1994.

Prior to joining DAP, Horan served as president of The Master Lock Co., and president and CEO of Robert Bosch Tool Corp., North America. He also spent 11 years with another RPM business unit, Rust-Oleum Corp.
