Maroon Group recently announced it has received EcoVadis silver level recognition for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In taking a proactive role in addressing corporate responsibility and sustainability in the global supply chain, the company was recognized for adopting international sustainable development standards.
The comprehensive CSR assessment reportedly reviewed several aspects of Maroon Group's ISO certification and NACD Responsible Distribution program, as well as its corporate policies and procedures. The methodology for rating companies is built on the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, which covers 150 spend categories and 140 countries.
“The achievement of EcoVadis Silver recognition is an important milestone for our company. This places us in the top level of our peer group globally and is a real testament to the efforts of our team to continually support Corporate Social Responsibility,” said Mike McKenna, chief operating officer. “Maroon Group operates in a global environment and facilitates sustainable supply chains and is diligent in reducing our carbon footprint, ensuring long-term viability for our customers and principal partners.”
