Avery Products recently announced that it has launched PermaTrack™ high-performance asset tags. According to Avery, small- and mid-sized businesses can print the affordable theft-prevention labels themselves on an existing laser printer or have them custom printed by Avery WePrint™, the company’s professional printing service.
Workplace theft costs U.S. employers $50 billion annually, and small- to mid-sized businesses are more often affected (representing 68% percent of cases in 2016), as reported by CNBC online. The PermaTrack product line, which ranges from lightweight white tags to durable printable metallic label sheets, can reportedly provide cost savings for businesses considering traditional heavy-duty asset tags that require large minimum order quantities (MOQs). Avery also offers free online templates for adding custom text, logos, barcodes, and serialized numbering, which reduces the costs even further.
“Over the course of developing new innovative products, we talk to a lot of businesses,” said Johannah Bradley, senior director of Avery’s Industrial Business Group. “When visiting smaller local facilities, we kept hearing over and over about high MOQs being a significant obstacle for smaller, often family-owned-and-operated businesses to overcome. We hope the high quality and low MOQs of our asset tags will help both large and small businesses save money and prevent theft.”
