Scheugenpflug AG recently announced that it has signed an agreement to be acquired by Sweden-based Atlas Copco Group. Atlas Copco’s products and services include compressors and vacuum solutions, as well as generators, power tools, assembly systems, dispensing and joining solutions, and related services. Atlas Copco currently employs approximately 37,000 people and supports customers in over 180 countries.

In the future, Scheugenpflug will operate as an independent company within Atlas Copco’s Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS) division. The existing management will continue to drive Scheugenpflug’s business, and the brand name will remain. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.

“We are delighted to become part of the successful Atlas Copco Group,” said Christian Ostermeier, member of the managing board. “At this time there will be no changes for our customers, suppliers and business partners. The acquisition provides us with a great platform for the next chapter in our growth history. New market potential is opening up for us. Thanks to the Group’s global presence, we will be able to offer our customers an even more comprehensive package of modern services and innovative technical solutions in the future.”
