Avery Dennison Corp. recently announced that its medical businesses—Vancive Medical Technologies and Finesse Medical Ltd.—have been rebranded as Avery Dennison Medical. The new brand is being showcased, along with eight new products, at this week’s 2019 Medica International Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, where Avery Dennison Medical is exhibiting in hall 6, stand H07.

Avery Dennison Medical offers advanced adhesive materials, including customized solutions, pressure-sensitive tapes, and converted components for applications such as wound care, wearable devices, ostomy appliances, surgical drapes, and diagnostics. The company also reports that it produces private label wound care and skin care products to enable device original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to quickly and easily expand their portfolios and fill gaps in their product range.

“Over the past two years, since the acquisition of Finesse, we have integrated Vancive and Finesse into a single medical business,” said Kirsten Newquist, general manager of Avery Dennison Medical. “By bringing the two businesses under a unified brand name, we make it easier to serve our customers and deliver a seamless customer experience.”

In 2012, Avery Dennison’s medical division was branded Vancive Medical Technologies, and capabilities were expanded to provide device OEMs with a full range of services needed to move products from development to delivery. The acquisition of Finesse Medical in 2017 expanded Avery Dennison’s medical business by increasing its manufacturing capabilities and adding a wide range of high-quality private label wound and skin care products to its portfolio.
