Key release liner markets, application areas, opportunities, and growth will be the focus of this year’s AWA Global Release Liner Industry Conference and Exhibition, which will take place February 27-28 in Amsterdam. “Release liner is surely one of the most diverse materials used in production today,” said Corey Reardon, AWA Alexander Watson Associates’ president and CEO. “It’s a component critical to the use and performance of pressure-sensitive materials and beyond—in a variety of markets, from advanced electronics to labels, postage stamps, adhesive tapes, and outdoor advertising graphics. This year’s conference program reflects that diversity.”

The opening conference keynote presentation will be given by Robyn Buma, vice president of Global Purchasing for Avery Dennison. She will address the importance of transparency in material sourcing in complex value chains. In addition, Mike Van Den Hof, circular economy business development specialist for ECOR Europe, will give a keynote presentation on the uses of recycled release liner material.

To meet the market-specific interests of delegates and focus on the voice of the customer, the conference program divides into concurrent sessions over the two days, with a series of presentations by experts in different market segments. The first afternoon will feature detailed coverage of tape and industrial applications, as well as labels and graphic arts. On the morning of the second day, the hygiene, medical, composites, and electronics markets will be explored in depth.
