The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) recently announced it has sent a letter to President Donald Trump, introducing him to the specialty chemical industry and thanking him for his focus on small business, jobs, and the economy.

The North American chemical industry, represented by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Chemical Industry Association of Canada (CIAC), and the Mexican Chemical Industry National Association (ANIQ), recently released a joint statement.

In late 2015, the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) decided to refocus its traditional twice-yearly gatherings into one annual event, beginning in 2017.
