Leading polyurethane industry professionals and experts from all across the globe will meet September 30 to October 2 in Atlanta for the 2024 Polyurethanes Technical Conference.

One of the industry’s top honors, the award is presented by the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI). 

There are many indicators used to forecast where the economy is headed, but conditions within the chemical manufacturing sector can be a useful predictor.

The returning speaker, a sustainability expert, will present thoughts on roadblocks to achieving sustainability goals, as well as sharing examples of progress and success. 

Four member companies and one external organization were recognized for innovative products, technologies, and initiatives advancing sustainability.

In a series of bipartisan votes, the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved bills that will help remove barriers in the supply chain.

Chemical output was lower than a month ago in all regions, with the largest declines in the Gulf Coast, home to much of the nation’s basic industrial chemical and synthetic materials capacity. Reportedly, the declines reflect sluggish output in several end-use manufacturing industries and weak export markets.

Applications for the 2022 Polyurethane Innovation Award are being accepted through June 16, 2022. 

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently signed the renewal of the ACC OSHA Alliance, which continues to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces operating with diisocyanate chemicals along the polyurethane value chain.
