General Sealants is a leading manufacturer of extruded sealants (e.g., butyl, silicone, polysulfide, polyolefin, polyacrylic, ethylene propylene), serving a diverse customer base in industries such as automotive, composites, construction, electrical, HVAC, industrial manufacturing, refrigeration, and telecommunication.
General Sealants’ R&D spending increased by 22% in 2022. Patrick Boyle, President and Chief Operating Officer, reports, “R&D spending has increased in 2023 and is projected to continue to rise as we invest in unique product solutions to meet the needs of our diverse customer base in over 75 countries.”
According to Boyle, the company’s sales decreased by 6% compared to 2021. He reports that sales in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 32% and “are projected to continue to increase through the remainder of the year.”
