The Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) is hosting its annual ChemEdge Conference and Trade Show August 13 to 15 in Louisville, Kentucky. The nation's leading chemical distribution operations and logistics conference, this three-day conference serves as a forum for businesses and industry leaders to explore emerging market trends, network with fellow distributors and supply chain partners, and attend informative sessions from industry leaders. 

"ChemEdge provides an opportunity for attendees to exchange expertise, strengthen partnerships, and address the challenges shaping the chemical supply chain," said ACD President and CEO, Eric R. Byer. "As the industry navigates regulatory rollbacks and trade uncertainties, ChemEdge represents a platform for distributors, manufacturers, and service partners to share best practices to help drive the industry forward." 

ACD’s legislative and regulatory teams will be joined by Kristi App of J.W. Allen & Co. and Joseph Chang of ICIS for a panel discussion to examine the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape currently impacting the industry. The panel will provide key updates on trade deals, regulatory rollbacks at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, economic analysis, and more. Shortly after the event, a recording of the panel discussion will be released as the first episode of the third season of ACD’s podcast, Chemline: Inside the Chemical Distribution Industry. 

Other key sessions at the conference include:

• Change is Mandatory...Stress is Optional: This opening general session, hosted by keynote speaker Garrison Wynn, will inspire attendees with insights for managing stress. The research-based presentation will provide leaders with proven communication tools to reduce resistance to change, employee turnover, and more. 
• Repackaging: Key Considerations for Compliance, Safety and Transport: This session, led by Randy Peters and Mike Waston of Pipeline Packaging, will cover how selecting the right container and materials to transport your product safely is essential.
• From Risk to Resilience: Combating Fraud Across the Supply Chain: During the conference’s closing session, Riley Konze of the FBI will cover trends affecting the supply chain and how fraud schemes are seeking to disrupt operations. Attendees will learn how to identify and mitigate risks and strengthen their defenses against threats like counterfeiting, financial manipulation, and cyber fraud.
