Bodo Möller Chemie GmbH announced that Dr. Christian Battenberg has been appointed manager responsible for key business units, including CASE, Plastics, and Performance Chemicals. With the new appointment, he will take on a leading role in the company’s strategic further development in Germany.
As the leader of the CASE, Plastics, and Performance Chemicals Business Units, Battenberg is responsible for Bodo Möller Chemie’s main growth markets, which will make a decisive contribution to the company’s strategic direction. Since joining the company, Battenberg has served as executive assistant to executive management and as global vice president, Performance Chemicals. Battenberg holds a PhD in polymer chemist and can draw on many years of international experience in research, development, and business expansion. Bodo Möller Chemie reports that he has come up with key creative ideas regarding the strategic direction of the portfolio, giving a clear focus on technological innovations and future market requirements.
“By conferring power of attorney to Dr. Battenberg, we affirm the trust we place in his expertise and quality of leadership,” said Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. “He has markedly advanced the company’s strategic evolution within a short period of time. One priority in his new role will be the further expansion of the Performance Chemicals Business Unit, which is becoming increasingly important for our corporate strategy.” According to Bodo Möller Chemie, this involves seeking to solidify the segment profile, develop new market potentials, and set the course for long-term business development.
“I’m pleased with the trust placed in me and the opportunity to take on even more responsibility in the future,” said Battenberg. “I see it as a chance to help shape strategic initiatives more actively and move forward with the team in developing our portfolio further.”
By deciding to confer power of attorney, Bodo Möller Chemie GmbH is consciously strengthening its management structure as part of a long-term strategy to expand future-relevant business activities and consolidate its market position on a sustainable basis.
