DuPont recently announced it has completed the previously announced divestiture of its Aramids business (Kevlar® and Nomex®) to Arclin, a portfolio company of an affiliate of TJC, L.P. (TJC). The transaction valued the business at approximately $1.8 billion.
With the close of the transaction, DuPont receives pretax cash proceeds of approximately $1.2 billion, subject to customary transaction adjustments, a note receivable of $300 million, and a non-controlling common equity interest in Arclin currently valued at $325 million, which is expected to represent an approximate 16% stake.
The results of the Aramids business were reclassified and reported as discontinued operations beginning in third quarter 2025 for current and historical periods.
