TAPPI's Troubleshooting the Corrugator Process Short Course will be offered May 24-26, 2004 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pensacola, FL. This course emphasizes the best-known methods and solutions for managing and improving the corrugator process. Instructors with pertinent plant experience will teach how to troubleshoot and solve all areas affecting the corrugator process and how to conduct a "Machine Condition Analysis (Audit)," deal with bonding and warp problems, and learn techniques on how to reduce waste. Course chairman and instructor Ed Riley of ELR Inc., along with co-presenters Lou Cuccia of Harper/Love and Bud Stickle of Stickle Steam Specialties will create an informal atmosphere that enables participants to learn from the presentations as well as each other. Their active presentation styles involve participants through opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and participate in discussions. The presenters emphasize "nuts and bolts" and everyday problems faced in a box plant through presentations incorporating a variety of visual materials and interactive "hands-on" demonstrations. Participants will have an opportunity to address their operating problems and receive feedback and solutions from the instructors and fellow participants.
