The new ProBlue Fulfill integrated melter and adhesive feed system from Nordson Corp. automatically maintains desired adhesive levels in the melter tank to increase uptime, reduce clogged adhesive nozzles, and deliver consistent bonding.
An innovative alternative to manual filling of melter adhesive tanks and automated feed systems that require retrofit kits, the ProBlue Fulfill combines the adhesive melter and the automated filling apparatus as a single integrated system, resulting in fast, easy set up and operation.
An integrated capacitance sensor detects low adhesive levels and transmits a signal to a suction lance. Using a vacuum, the system then conveys adhesive in the shape of pellets, pastilles and mini-slats from the supplied, closed adhesive storage container directly to the melter tank. Adding small quantities of adhesive at regular intervals prevents the sealed tank from running dry and reduces adhesive char, contaminants and incorrect adhesive temperatures that can result in poor bonding.
