HENKEL CORP.: Resin System
Henkel’s aerospace group has announced the launch of Epsilon
99100, a benzoxazine RTM/VARTM resin system that has been optimized for
aerospace applications. This innovative technology is described as an
innovative and effective alternative to epoxy chemistry. Epsilon 99100
significantly enhances mechanical performance and durability while lowering the
costs associated with composite structure during manufacture and service. This
product represents the first of a family of aerospace composite resin systems that
will be introduced in 2008.
The Epsilon 99100 resin system is stable at ambient temperatures for over a year as a one-part resin. This reduces the cost of processing, storage and shipment. Additional features include: a broad processing window; viscosity stability; low heat release during cure; improved UV resistance; and more.
