INTERPOLYMER GmbH, Hassloch, Germany, has announced that the first production line of a new facility for waterborne styrene-acrylic dispersions, acrylic solutions and wax dispersions has started production in Nanjing, China. The plant, which features an annual capacity of 40,000 metric tons and additional space for further expansion, is expected to be fully operation for all technology platforms by June 2009.

“This modern manufacturing site will further strengthen our position as a global supplier of specialty acrylic polymers,” said Siegfried J. Gillich, general manager responsible for Europe/Asia-Pacific business. “Customers serviced by our sales office and polymer research center in Shanghai will benefit from the new production site since we can respond to customer needs much faster and at lower total costs.”
