Dow Increases 2-EHA Capacity
The Performance Monomers business of The Dow Chemical Co. has announced a 15% increase in capacity for the production of 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate (2-EHA) at its Hahnville, LA, facility. The increase is the result of a successful debottlenecking initiative that addresses Dow’s need to increase 2-EHA capacity for its domestic customers.
“Our customers participate in many diverse and value-added applications,” said Chad Holzer, North America business director for Performance Monomers. “As one of few domestic producers of 2-EHA, this added capacity further positions Dow for growth with strategic customers and establishes our continued dedication toward improving reliability.”
