SHAW INDUSTRIES GROUP INC.: Bio-Renewable Carpet Tile Adhesive
Shaw Industries Group Inc. recently announced the introduction of a new bio-renewable adhesive for use with its commercial carpet tile products. It is reportedly the first Cradle-to-Cradle certified wet flooring adhesive, which, when used with Shaw’s EcoWorx backed carpet tile, reportedly represents a complete Cradle-to-Cradle flooring solution.
The adhesive comes in 4-gal and 1-gal sizes. Developed in partnership with W.F. Taylor and BASF Corp., the adhesives reporteldy contains bio-mass materials derived from non-food sources. The low-VOC product is alcohol and ammonia free.
