Starter kits are now available to help users integrate this company’s ProBlue and ProBlue Liberty melters into a parent machine. The all-inclusive kits reportedly can reduce PLC programming time from over 50 hours to less than one, and are available as a free download for all Nordson customers.

By integrating a hot melt dispensing system into the parent machine, users can create their own customized and intuitive control panel on the machine, increasing efficiency and reducing the amount of operator training required. It also reportedly increases equipment monitoring and control functions, making nearly all melter data available for analysis. Integration also provides more design flexibility, resulting in a packaging solution that is best crafted to meet the user’s needs.

The starter kits include a quick start guide with a demonstration video for step-by-step guidance through the integration process, example HMI and PLC code for easy customization, intuitive tags for all available melter data, and other system-specific needs. Kits are currently available for Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
