The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) recently hired Brittany Mountjoy as manager of government relations. She will reportedly focus on international trade issues, as well as manage the association's International Trade Committee and International Regulatory Compliance Network (IRCN).

Mountjoy comes to SOCMA from DuPont, where she worked as an international government affairs program specialist in Washington, D.C., leading advocacy strategies to drive business objectives in strategic growth markets, with a specific focus on global issues such as trade.

“We are thrilled to have Brittany join our Government Relations team,” said Bill Allmond, vice president of government and public relations. “With her previous experience at DuPont, Brittany brings to the table a healthy understanding of the chemical industry and trade issues impacting our manufacturing sector. We also look forward to drawing from her knowledge in communications, as we strive to educate Congress, our members and the public about the specialty chemical industry and the significant role it plays in international trade and the U.S. economy.”
