From September 7-9, participants will gather in Vienna, Austria, to attend the FEICA 2016 European Adhesive and Sealant Conference and Expo. The event will feature exhibition space, a business forum, breakout sessions, and two networking events.

Exhibition and Networking Events

The exhibition will be held throughout the event. The space will be open from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, with no concurrent conference programming; from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, and through the conference close and buffet lunch from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, September 9.

Two networking opportunities will be held during the event. The welcome cocktail event will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Austrian Museum of Applied and Contemporary Arts, and includes all registered participants, accompanying persons, and holders of Expo only passes. The conference dinner, “A Night in Vienna,” will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Kursalon music hall on Thursday.

Business Forum and Breakout Sessions

This year, the theme of the business forum will be “Pursuing Growth―Strategic Choices in a Rapidly Changing World,” and it will take place on Thursday morning. The forum will include a welcome from Steve Kenny, FEICA president, and four keynote speakers, who will discuss business economics, business growth, and innovation. A panel discussion will follow.

After the forum will be parallel breakout sessions to discuss topics such as business challenges, structural adhesives, water-based adhesives and sealants, and sustainable innovation. Breakout sessions will take place throughout the remainder of the conference on Friday, discussing topics such as market trends, hot melts, novelty polymers, renewables, and construction trends. In total, 12 breakout sessions will feature more than 30 speakers.

The event will provide opportunities for participants not only to learn, network, and explore industry innovations, but to experience the culture and history of Vienna through solo exploration or the Accompanying Persons Program offered through the conference.
