From April 3-5, experts from across the adhesive and sealants industry will come together at the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) Annual Spring Convention and Expo in Atlanta. The event offers speakers, short courses, an exhibition, and multiple networking opportunities for industry experts, clients, end users, and researchers to interact.

Keynote Speakers

Matt Lewis, a CNN political commentator and senior contributor at The Daily Beast, will present the opening keynote on Tuesday, April 4. He will give the talk “The Unprecedented Era of Trump: What to Expect.”

Dan Adams will present the keynote Wednesday morning, April 5, entitled “Want Faster Organic Growth? Better Let Your Customers Surprise You.” Adams, founder of The AIM Institute and author of the B2B organic growth newsletter “New Product Blueprinting” and the weekly blog “Awkward Realities,” will address how to handle the “surprise paradox,” e.g., we don’t like to be surprised in business, but great products require a surprise. It’s no fun to be surprised when building a facility or installing software, but unless your new product is not obvious, you can’t even get a patent. Adams will share new research by The AIM Institute showing how over 80% of project teams were surprised by customer needs.

Short Courses

Two co-located short courses are scheduled to take place April 3-4. The Waterborne Adhesives Short Course will provide fundamental knowledge of formulating and use of this adhesive class to help attendees to select, design, apply, and troubleshoot adhesive package and, ultimately, add to the bottom line.

The Caulks & Sealants Short Course will explain how sealants not only offer important performance properties, providing many advantages to modern design, but that putties and caulks also serve to take up space and fill voids.

Expo

The 2017 ASC Annual Spring Expo will take place from 3-6:30 p.m on Tuesday, April 4. The event provides direct access to the leading suppliers, technologies and solutions in the adhesives and sealants market, and is open to all suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers in the industry. ASI
