Mactac Films Receive UL Approval
The pre-approval reportedly demonstrates label suitability and compliance with ANSI/UL 969 testing standards.
Mactac® recently announced the addition of DNP Imagingcomm America Corp.’s R550 thermal transfer ribbon to its existing portfolio of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approved durable films with thermal transfer ribbons. The pre-approval reportedly demonstrates label suitability and compliance with ANSI/UL 969 testing standards for displaying required safety information on UL Certified products.
“We want to continue to provide our customers with a portfolio of solutions that can confidently meet recognized standards for durability and environmental resistance,” said Kim Hensley, marketing manager, Mactac performance adhesives. “Through a joint effort, it’s easy to address the requirements of UL knowing the full solution—label base material, pressure-sensitive adhesive and thermal printing—together pass the standard.”
