PPG Facility Receives Ford Q1 Supplier Status
The accolade recognizes a company’s excellence in production systems, quality control and management, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
PPG recently announced that its automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) coatings facility in Bursa, Turkey, has achieved Ford Q1 supplier status, making it the fourth PPG location that manufactures adhesives and sealants to earn this designation globally. The accolade recognizes a company’s excellence in production systems, quality control and management, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
The company’s Bursa location was named a Ford Q1 supplier following a year-long audit of its processes, which included weekly visits by Ford auditors. The status is monitored on a monthly basis ahead of the revaluation, which happens at least once per year.
“PPG’s partnership with Ford spans the world, and we have been working together in Turkey for 15 years,” said Isik Hasibe, plant manager, Bursa. “Being designated a Ford Q1 supplier is an honor as well as an incentive and challenge for our team. We always seek to improve our processes to continue offering superior customer service and industry-leading innovations.”
