New Year, New Look
The New Year is all about a new start, and we’ve taken this notion to heart by enhancing the look of ASI magazine. We’re debuting a refreshed design this month, with a smart and streamlined look to make the magazine even more enjoyable for you, our readers. A circular economy is defined as restorative and regenerative, and intends to keep products, components, and materials at their highest utility and value at all times, writes Philip Bruce, secretary general of FEICA. While the adhesives and sealants industry has adopted the concept and considers circularity as the best-practice approach for the end-of-life phase of products, he writes, minimizing environmental impacts along the life cycle in the entire value chain should be a priority. This month’s issue includes our exclusive Job Satisfaction Survey. We polled readers of our print magazine, digital edition and eNewsletter subscribers to see just how satisfied they are with their jobs. Happily, 70% of respondents indicated that they are highly satisfied with their current job. For those wanting more, higher pay was a factor that 37% said would make them more satisfied in their job, while 30% indicated that company communication surrounding the organization’s vision could be better. We've all experienced the heartbreak of seeing a scratch or ding in the finish of our new car. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and three industry partners have developed a suite of tests that can eventually help protect vehicle exteriors from dings, dents, scratches and other forms of damage.
